How to Become a Director

The Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce is currently seeking to fill 2-3 volunteer Board of Director positions, to compliment our current Board of Directors.

Interested applicants would be appreciated, but are not limited to the following business sectors.
* Real Estate
* Contractors
* Government
* Health-care
* Tourism
* Education
* Media
* Legal
* Associations

We are looking for volunteers who:

• Are community minded with an interest in local businesses
• Possess leadership qualities and are unbiased
• Have previous experience with a board (an asset but not mandatory)
• Can commit to a minimum of one meeting a month
• Can commit to a minimum of a two year term
• Are creative thinkers with fresh idea’s

(Interested applicants must be a Chamber Member who is in good standing)

Resumes will be reviewed by the Board of Directors. Thereafter a motion to approve the Board of Slate will be presented at the AGM in September upon a vote of the attending members.
