Bancroft & District Chamber of Commerce

The mandate of the Bancroft and District Chamber of Commerce is to promote and develop Bancroft & District as a place to live, work and play. The Chamber exists to enrich the quality of the economic and civil well being of its membership, business at large and the community as a whole. Both residents and visitors can take time to peacefully reflect and connect with nature or experience something exciting and awe inspiring.

Bancroft and District offers fishing, boating, golfing, hiking ATVing, snowmobiling and cross-country skiing. This area is home to many artists and artisans; offers live theatre and rare shopping opportunities to delight and entertain. There are scenic drives, mineral collecting sites and field trips and many community events.

Kinsmen Club of Minden

Kinsmen & Kinette Clubs of Canada, Canada’s largest all-Canadian service organization, with the purpose of bettering our communities by performing hands-on service work, raising funds for important community projects and having fun. Kinsmen in Minden organize a fundraising event, the annual Minden Kinsmen Truck Pull, and are supporters of the Canadian Automobile Sports Clubs Ice Racing Series, in February at the Minden Fairgrounds.

SIRCH is an incorporated non profit organization with charitable status. Founded in 1989 to identify and meet gaps in social and health services, over the past 20+ years we have developed dozens of community-based programs and services in Haliburton County (Ontario, Canada) and neighboring communities. Some of the programs we developed have, over the years, been divested or closed. Current programs and services are:

SIRCH programs benefit from the skills and expertise of over 100 community volunteers who serve as change agents within Haliburton County. We appreciate the thousands of hours they provide to help with programs, fundraising, and governance. We also value our many partnerships in the community – with other agencies, businesses, government, service clubs. In-kind donations (food, space, staffing, services and more) amounted to over $235,000 in the past fiscal year.

Our mission: SIRCH provides innovative and accountable services that encourage and support individuals, families and communities through:
