School’s Cool Inc. is committed to leveling the playing field for all children entering kindergarten. We envision a world where every child has had a good start to school and is on a pathway for school success.

Who we Are

School’s Cool Inc. was born out of SIRCH Community Services & Consulting – a not-for-profit and charitable organization in Ontario, Canada with a 20 year history in providing responsive community services to vulnerable children, parents, and families; developing innovative program resources, and providing training. The founding executive director of SIRCH, Gena Robertson, believed in solution-focused problem-solving and creative thinking. Over time, more than 20 programs and services were developed to serve the local community and regional area. These covered a wide range of needs: families living in poverty; adults with low literacy/education; children with special needs; individuals needing palliative care, emergency housing and mental health counseling; and much more.

The School’s Cool program was born out of a desire to break the cycle of low literacy and low education prevalent in “at risk” families. The School’s Cool program uses a solution-focused approach to help give preschoolers confidence, school readiness skills, and an excitement for learning.

As a result of the phenomenal success of School’s Cool in communities across Canada, in 2009, SIRCH divested School’s Cool to its own company, “School’s Cool Inc.”

What we Offer

At School’s Cool Inc, we offer solutions to parents, organizations, and communities who have a need for improved school readiness of their 3 to 5 year old children. Our premier solution is the School’s Cool Program. Created in 1998, School’s Cool was developed to help children prepare for and succeed in kindergarten, to raise skills to a level where they can take advantage of the learning opportunities kindergarten has to offer. Since its beginnings, thousands of children, parents, schools, and communities have experienced School’s Cool and are reaping the rewards.

In addition to the School’s Cool program we offer training, professional development workshops, and more. All of our products and services are rooted in evidence-based practices, professional input and evaluation.
