Your Chamber is launching a Local Tender Bulletin page on our website to assist all Members with this important information that can help your business.

We will do the research for you, send a email to alert you of new bulletins and post them on our website at www.haliburtonchamber.com for you to review when you have the time.

Should your association/business or government agency have a tender posting, simply send it to our office at admin@haliburtonchamber.com and we will share that information with our complete email database of over 400 businesses in Haliburton County. Let’s keep the hiring within our community through business to business.

This new service stemmed from a Member request through communication as to what we can do to help their business. We are here to help, if you have suggestions, just let us know and we will respond promptly.

Tender for Trophies and Centrepieces

Tender – Trophies & Centerpieces
5th Annual Business & Community Achievement Awards

The 5th annual Business and Community Achievement Awards is coming this January, 2010 and we are seeking local and distinctive tender submissions for the Trophies and Centerpieces.

Trophies

The Chamber is seeking new distinctive trophies for this years Business and Community Achievement Awards.

We have a total of 10-12 awards (to be determined) and to be given out by the Chamber to local business representatives and citizens.

The size required would be between 10×12″ to 14×16″, and must incorporate the Chamber of Commerce logo and allow a location for engraving the Chamber of Commerce logo. Each Trophy must commemorate the Chambers 75th anniversary.

The artist(s) will be featured at every opportunity, including the 75th anniversary program booklet, HHCC website, local press, and during the awards presentations.

The design concept is open to new idea and designs. Budget: $50-$60 per trophy.

Centerpieces

With a total of 21 tables of Business Executives and Haliburton County citizens, what a better way to market your design at this premiere event.

The Chamber is looking for centerpieces for the Gala Dinner that can be used at the end of the event for Door Prizes.

The preference is that the centerpiece(s) be suitable to hold a table number/name, (this is not a requirement).

Budget: $19 per centerpiece, your name/business will appear on the design and announced at the time of the door prize draw.

The artist(s) will be featured at every opportunity, including the 75th anniversary program booklet, HHCC website, local press, and during the awards presentations.

Submissions should include: a detailed drawing/sketch of your design, or prototype (plus medium and dimensions)

We are looking to our artists and artistically inclined for a style that says Haliburton Highlands to compliment this formal high-quality event for the Haliburton Highlands Chamber of Commerce!

Winterfest 2011 ~ Call to Artists

From February 15th to 17th, 2011, Haliburton County will play host to more than 800 participants, coaches and officials who will compete in 10 sporting events. All competitors are 55 years of age or over and are great examples of what a healthy, active lifestyle can do to improve health in the senior years.

Instead of medals that may be put away in drawers, we would like to present the first, second and third place winners with a unique and usable memento of their accomplishment here in the Haliburton Highlands.

These awards must have the words: Winterfest 2011 Haliburton Highlands on them, but other than that, we are open to all design ideas. The budget is $8-$10 per piece with approximately 150 -200 pieces required per category with a maximum of $5,000 being awarded.

The winning artist/s will be featured at every opportunity, including the souvenir program, website, local press, and at pivotal events throughout Winterfest.
Submissions should include: a detailed drawing/sketch of your design (plus medium and dimensions) and an artist’s statement.

The Township of Algonquin Highlands is seeking proposals for the re-development of its Corporate Website and the provision of a Content Management Solution.

The Township’s current website was developed in 2000 to address the growing need for a presence on the internet. The Township recognizes its website should be its premiere communications tool now and into the future for relaying up-to-date pertinent information to its residents, visitors and businesses.

INTERESTED Service Providers are invited to submit SEALED PROPOSALS to the Township no later than 4:00 pm on August 20th, 2010; late proposals will not be considered. Late proposals will be returned unopened. Proposals that are faxed or forwarded by other electronic means will not be accepted.

The envelope should be clearly marked on the outside “Proposal for Website Re-Development and Content Management Solution” and should be addressed to:

Resurfacing of Rural Section of Roadway
Commencing at a point one (1) kilometer south of the Fowler Construction Company entrance and proceeding in a northerly direction to the intersection of County Road 18 at Barnum Lake.
SCOPE OF WORK :
•The pulverizing of the existing road surface and reshaping/grading of the roadway cross-section, and
•Placement of an additional 75mm of quarried Granular A material to the upper base course compacted and shaped to the desired cross-fall, and
•The placement of a 50mm HL4 Asphalt Surface Course for 2 lanes at a 3.25m width, and
•The placement of a 50mm Paved Shoulder at a 1.20m width, and
•Provision for paving of municipal intersections and commercial entrances, and
•Re-instatement of line work for road centerline and delineation of the paved shoulder.

The Minden Riverwalk Committee

The Minden Riverwalk Committee has received funding from the Haliburton County Development
Corporation. As a result, the Committee is inviting interested artists to submit a written proposal to provide some form of artwork on the Minden Riverwalk. The artwork must depict a historical/heritage theme and may be any type of medium (Riverwalk Committee reserves right to make/award with changes it deems suitable).
The Committee will require a) a sketch of the proposed artwork, b)a “detailed” costing which must include adequate installation on Township property and c)a schedule for completion (2010). The Committee will accept proposals for one (1) or two (2) pieces of artwork (not necessarily same artist) which shall not exceed $5,000.00 (for one) or $2,500.00 (each, for two).

Proposals will be accepted until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 30, 2010.
